A Celebration Rooted in Tradition & Modern Elegance
With meticulous attention to detail and deep cultural respect, Pink Wasabi Events had the honor of planning and producing Malik & Layaly’s Palestinian Tulba celebration—an unforgettable evening rooted in tradition, family, and modern elegance.
Honoring Palestinian & Muslim Customs with Intention
Hosted in a private Fort Lauderdale backyard, this celebration was designed to honor Palestinian and Muslim customs while reflecting the refined, contemporary taste of the future bride and her family. From the earliest planning conversations, it was clear that this event was about more than beautiful décor—it was about creating an experience that felt authentic, intentional, and deeply personal.
Seamless Event Production, Rain or Shine
Despite rain falling for nearly the entire evening, guests never felt the weather’s impact. We tented the entire property, installed turf subflooring to create a level and comfortable foundation for dining, desserts, the espresso cart, and key gathering areas, and fully covered the pool—transforming it into a custom dance floor that became the energetic heart of the celebration.
Turning Logistics into Effortless Guest Experience
What could have been a logistical challenge became a seamless, immersive experience—proof that thoughtful event production allows guests to stay present in the moment.
Music, Movement & Cultural Expression
The night was filled with rich cultural expression and joyful movement. A DJ played traditional Palestinian and Middle Eastern music, keeping the dance floor alive well into the evening and allowing guests to celebrate through music and movement that felt familiar, meaningful, and celebratory. The atmosphere was electric—rooted in tradition yet full of modern joy.
Hospitality That Reflects Culture & Generosity
Hospitality played a central role in the design. Guests enjoyed Middle Eastern catering, complemented by a Spanish fire grill station serving paella, a bicycle espresso cart, desserts, and fruit-infused water stations throughout the space. Each element was intentionally selected to support both cultural tradition and guest comfort, reflecting the warmth and generosity that define Palestinian celebrations.
An Organic, Bohemian Design Aesthetic
Visually, the tent was transformed into a romantic, bohemian-inspired environment—softly layered, inviting, and elegant without feeling overproduced. Delicate pink floral centerpieces added warmth and charm, while the overall design struck a balance between celebration and sophistication.

What made this Tulba especially meaningful for our team was the trust and connection built throughout the process. At Pink Wasabi Events, we have a deep commitment to planning and designing culturally specific celebrations with care and integrity. We take the time to educate ourselves on traditions, customs, and symbolism—ensuring that each event honors culture in a way that feels genuine, not performative.
