Downtown Cultural Exchange at Adrienne Arsht Center

We had the pleasure of styling the James L. Knight Stage at the iconic Adrienne Arsht Center in downtown Miami for the second annual Downtown Cultural Exchange event. This night was created to showcase the beautiful and unique event spaces between the Pérez Art Museum Miami, Frost Science Museum and the Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts.

When I mentioned that we would be styling the stage, my colleagues looked confused as they’d never imagined the Arsht Center as a wedding or event venue. So just in case you didn’t know, you can, not only, host an imitate event on the one of the beautiful theater stages but you can also have flooring installed to look like the stage extends over the seating for use of the full room as your event space!

During our discussions about designing anything in this space, both Wendy DeLucca, the Events Director at the Arsht Center and I knew it needed to be rich in color, texture and glamour. Therefore, I looked no further than my friends at The Lounge Design, Different Look and Contempo Linens for all of their gorgeous furniture and decor. With the cherry on top being the artfully styled florals designed by my creative partner, Maria Alejandra Peralta of Flower Fanatic and cake designed by The Starfish Cottage.

Thank you to Tessa Maxine Photography for capturing this event and providing the photo booth and Uneeq Productions for the videography! Visit our Instagram story highlights for more from this showcase.
