Christian & Cheyenne’s Wedding

Planning, Design and Production by Pink Wasabi ♡

This gorgeous couple from NYC, by way of the beautiful islands of Trinidad and Tobago, hosted their modern tropical wedding at one of South Florida’s most enchanting venues — the Living Sculpture Sanctuary. Surrounded by lush foliage and botanical beauty, Christian and Cheyenne’s wedding was a perfect reflection of their love story: deeply rooted in culture, effortlessly elegant, and entirely unforgettable. The outdoor ceremony was enveloped by rich tropical decor with thoughtful, luxurious accents designed to elevate the more rustic features of the venue. Their reception, by contrast, showcased a striking palette of white, gold, and black, creating an atmosphere that was at once modern and romantic. Every guest was transported into a magical setting filled with heart, sophistication, and warm personal details throughout the celebration.Christian and Cheyenne entrusted Shari and the Pink Wasabi Events team with full creative freedom — and we embraced that trust wholeheartedly. Our goal was to bring their vision of a sophisticated tropical wedding to life, balancing island vibrancy with chic, contemporary design. The result? A celebration that will be talked about for years to come by both families.

Modern Tropical Meets Elevated Elegance

To set the tone for the ceremony, we introduced large LED pillar candles lining the aisle and altar — adding romantic glow and dimension to the outdoor setting. The altar was styled with lush tropical arrangements, including white orchid plants and large palms, which brought softness and grandeur to the venue’s existing wooden chuppah. A custom circular chandelier suspended above the altar created a dramatic focal point that enhanced the luxurious feel of the space.

The floral palette was intentionally kept crisp and textural, playing with various shades of green, creamy ivory, and soft white blooms to maintain the clean, tropical-modern balance the couple envisioned. Every design element — from linen selection to menus, signage, and paper goods — was custom-designed by our team to reflect Christian and Cheyenne’s unique tastes and cultural heritage.

A Reception Drenched in Style and Meaning

The reception design paid homage to both Caribbean warmth and city sophistication. The head table was a true showstopper, featuring a dramatic row of 4-foot-tall tropical arrangements in sleek gold vessels, grounded by low, lush floral compositions in soft ivory tones.

To maintain visual interest throughout the room, guest tables alternated between towering tropical centerpieces — echoing the lush palms used in the ceremony — and sculptural candle groupings that added intimacy and glow. The resulting effect was modern, luxurious, and deeply atmospheric.

Every visual moment was curated with care and intention — from the floral arrangements to the tablescapes — ensuring that the couple and their guests were immersed in an environment that felt both elevated and deeply personal.

A Celebration We’ll Never Forget

To say we were proud of this wedding would be an understatement. It was an honor to bring such a layered and meaningful vision to life, and to witness the love between two people so full of joy, style, and grace.
