Wedding’s that don’t have a planner or coordinator involved tend to be obviously disorganized unless it’s a casual backyard wedding (and there’s nothing wrong with keeping it casual in the backyard)… That should be enough of a reason to secure a coordinator for your big day. Whenever I hear potential clients suggest with confidence that they’re handling their wedding day themselves, I cringe (on the inside, of course). Who really wants to work on their wedding day? It’s been apparent at every wedding that I’ve ever attended that didn’t have a planner or at least a month of coordinator, that the day/evening was disconnected and didn’t flow properly. The moral of the story is: stay in your lane, be the Bride or Groom, eat, drink and be married… leave the work of the day of to a planner or coordinator.

3. Your friends and family want to have fun too.
When you don’t hire help to pull off your wedding plans, it then becomes the job of your friends and family members. You can give everyone something small to be responsible for up until your actual wedding day festivities, but they will not have time to manage your day or all the details. Trust me, they would much rather be drinking, eatings and breaking it down on the dance floor than working for you on your wedding day.
4. Talk You Out of Bad Ideas…
You may LOVE the idea of an early afternoon, outdoor wedding in Florida on a Friday in the middle of Summer. Maybe that date is convenient for you and your partner, however, it’s probably a terrible idea from your guests’ perspective and you will surely regret it (whether you admit it or not). Not to mention, 100% humidity in 90º weather will have you looking and feeling like the complete opposite of what you imagined for your wedding day.
5. Wedding Planners are Troubleshooting Ninjas
There maybe a few or a bunch of unforeseen issues that pop up on your big day. If you have a planner, it’s no biggie, if you don’t have a planner you could be witness to train wreck that also happens to be one of the most special days of your lives. Planners make the difference between a major or minor issue being remedied without you’re knowledge and/or involvement and a you being left with messy memories of your wedding day.
